Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jonny Holmes made the kick off which started today's match. If Jonny Holmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wakefield Vikings's Jez Dyson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trey Johnstone in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Wakefield Vikings's zone, Jonny Holmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jez Dyson came out of the goal and Jonny Holmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Tyrone East made a precise shot to the right of Brendon Slator. Stocksbridge FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Brendon Slator showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Brookman in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Robert Brookman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Brendon Slator was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Wakefield Vikings's zone, Jonny Holmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jez Dyson came out of the goal and Jonny Holmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brendon Slator stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Brookman's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tyrone East came free, but Brendon Slator reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Brookman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wakefield Vikings's Tyrone East got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Robert Brookman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frazer Brook during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, one of Stocksbridge FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stocksbridge FC. The referee gave Wakefield Vikings a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Phil Strong, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Stocksbridge FC's Brendon Slator. 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robert Brookman to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trey Johnstone during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brendon Slator made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Tyrone East sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute, Nicky Harrington made a precise shot to the right of Brendon Slator. Stocksbridge FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Robert Brookman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Brendon Slator tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tyrone East fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Slator having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Brookman came free, but Brendon Slator reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Robert Brookman came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Wakefield Vikings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Brookman couldn't finish the play. Robert Brookman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Slator having to interfere. With a little luck, Stocksbridge FC's Brendon Slator got control of the ball when Tyrone East tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wakefield Vikings's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
