Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Walthamstow United's Ash Rathmell started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goalkeeper Derek Woodier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Marsden. 4 minutes into the game, Sacha Stansfield was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Walthamstow United the free kick. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Sacha Stansfield hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Julian Marsden notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Manchester United's Derek Woodier. Derek Woodier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the game, Vic Allott cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Joel Longden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 14 minutes into the game, Julian Marsden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Walthamstow United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United the free kick. After 14 played minutes Walthamstow United got a freekick which was hit by Julian Marsden. Manchester United's Derek Woodier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ash Rathmell in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Ash Rathmell came free, but Derek Woodier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonny Chambers struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Joel Longden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United. Derek Woodier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ash Rathmell, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Mitch Trunks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Derek Woodier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Marsden showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 30 minute of play. After 33 played minutes Walthamstow United got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Shackleton. Joel Longden came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester United's Jonny Chambers. But to his dismay, Jonny Chambers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Jonny Chambers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Longden having to interfere. Derek Woodier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ash Rathmell in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The wind increased when Jonny Chambers made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Jonny Chambers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonny Chambers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Longden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Derek Woodier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ash Rathmell in the 57th minute of play. Manchester United's Derek Woodier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Marsden in the 59th minute of play. Derek Woodier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Ring in the 62nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Allott during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Walthamstow United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Allott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manchester United's Derek Woodier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ash Rathmell in the 65th minute of play. Vic Allott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Joel Longden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Ash Rathmell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derek Woodier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Walthamstow United getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Grant Ring hit a great ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Julian Marsden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walthamstow United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Marsden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Derek Woodier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Marsden, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Manchester United's Derek Woodier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Marsden in the 87th minute of play. Jonny Chambers did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-3 to the left of a surprised Joel Longden 89 minutes into the match. Vic Allott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Joel Longden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonny Chambers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Joel Longden when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Walthamstow United's Joel Longden got control of the ball when Frank Dines tried to sneak it across the goal line. Walthamstow United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
