Oakalnds's Freddie Driver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Morrison in the 5th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Oakalnds's Deon Paine threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carl Cambridge, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Deon Paine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ray Rawson's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Oakalnds's Freddie Driver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Pearch in the 13th minute of play. Jamie Beck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Deon Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ray Rawson in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Deon Paine, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Carl Cambridge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute Duncan Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Driver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Rich Couch in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Oakalnds's Lance Ridsdale. If Ray Rawson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duncan Morrison stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Oakalnds's Lance Ridsdale got a free kick in the 51st minute. Freddie Driver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duncan Morrison in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Matthew Sweeney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ray Rawson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Deon Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Duncan Morrison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ray Rawson in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Deon Paine saved Bedford AFC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matthew Sweeney during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bedford AFC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Matthew Sweeney hit a great ball. Freddie Driver was a little too slow when Kristian Pearch got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 1-1. Ray Rawson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Duncan Morrison recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Freddie Driver. Duncan Morrison showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If Jamie Beck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
