Spectators: 7514 (Terracing: 5636, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Duncan Morrison made the kick off and thus started the match. Donald Perkins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Glenn Dransfield in the 25th minute. Donald Perkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan Morrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jack Gilchrist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Deon Paine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Duncan Morrison kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Nick Bonham struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Deon Paine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Gekko. After a defensive mix-up in Bedford AFC's zone, Jack Gilchrist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deon Paine came out of the goal and Jack Gilchrist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Sporting Gekko were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nick Bonham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Gekko's zone, Kristian Pearch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donald Perkins came out of the goal and Kristian Pearch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nick Bonham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Paine having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roger Stockdale got free with Deon Paine in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Nick Bonham came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Sporting Gekko fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nick Bonham couldn't finish the play. Donald Perkins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Dransfield in the 86th minute of the match. Donald Perkins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glenn Dransfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jack Gilchrist got free with Deon Paine in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Sporting Gekko left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bedford AFC.
