When Will Nevin came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Kilburn, Westbourne Park fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Will Nevin couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vern Hendley got free with Deon Paine in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stan Barber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 38th minute, Will Nevin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Deon Paine, passed just outside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Will Nevin in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Deon Paine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Will Nevin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duncan Morrison was the one to do the kick off. Deon Paine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stan Barber went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Bedford AFC booed when Kilburn, Westbourne Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Spears didn't get a good kick on the ball.
