Lenny Burns hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, David Mahon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stew Proctor, 1-0. If David Mahon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damion Gilchrist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bobby Selby came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Wetheringsett Athletic's Damion Gilchrist. But to his dismay, Damion Gilchrist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 41st match minute, Radcliffe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Adamson to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Quinn to make the kick off. Damion Gilchrist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Bobby Selby made a huge save. After 62 played minutes Wetheringsett Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Dan Quinn. Bobby Selby made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Damion Gilchrist sent off a good shot on target. If Damion Gilchrist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kieran Church kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Bobby Selby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Quinn, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Stew Proctor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Mahon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Laurence Prior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stew Proctor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Radcliffe's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Quinn came free, but Bobby Selby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radcliffe succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Wetheringsett Athletic had controlled the match.
