The tension between the Wanborough and the Whitstable United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Wanborough:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Whitstable United:s goal. In the 75th minute, Rufus Perkins made a precise shot to the right of Theo McGrath. Whitstable United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Niall Fuller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Wanborough had won after a very even match.
