Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ronny Clayton hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reggie Mannell in the 4th minute of play forced Wokingham City's goalkeeper Jerry Wilmott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ashton-under-Lyne's zone, Jim Fitzgerald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matty Barraclough came out of the goal and Jim Fitzgerald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Reggie Mannell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ashton-under-Lyne's supporters rose to their feet, but Reggie Mannell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerry Wilmott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reggie Mannell might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerry Wilmott. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reggie Mannell ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the match, Jim Fitzgerald had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matty Barraclough. Ashton-under-Lyne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jim Fitzgerald was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 16th match minute, Wokingham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Patton to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Reggie Mannell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Wilmott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Bilton's late challenge caught a Wokingham City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mattias Bilton helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Ashton-under-Lyne's zone, Shawn McAleer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Bilton hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Matty Barraclough came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Wokingham City's Jim Fitzgerald. But to his dismay, Jim Fitzgerald quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 41 minutes into the game, Wokingham City's Shawn McAleer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matty Barraclough made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Don Rowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jerry Wilmott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reggie Mannell to strike the kick off in the second half. Reggie Mannell struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Jerry Wilmott didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ashton-under-Lyne. Don Rowe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerry Wilmott having to make a save. Jerry Wilmott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Rowe in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Ashton-under-Lyne's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Shawn McAleer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 64 minutes into the match, Wokingham City's goal looked a bit too open when Reggie Mannell came free, but Jerry Wilmott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Don Holland kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Trey England fired a really elegant long shot, but Matty Barraclough threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Jim Fitzgerald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Don Rowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim Fitzgerald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Don Rowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matty Barraclough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Fitzgerald in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Ashton-under-Lyne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Holland to maneuver through the defense. When Mattias Bilton was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. A collision led to Ashton-under-Lyne getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Mattias Bilton hit a great ball. Trey England shot from long distance in the 93rd minute, but Matty Barraclough was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 96th minute, Ashton-under-Lyne's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jim Fitzgerald fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
