Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jason Brooke started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dylon Fairbank who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Alex Styles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dylon Fairbank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alex Styles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antony Watson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Styles having to interfere. Dylon Fairbank might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Styles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dylon Fairbank ran back to his position shaking his head. Shirley Village's Alex Styles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Trotter in the 41st minute of play. When Whitstable United's Antony Watson in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shirley Village's goalie prevented a goal. Luke English's late challenge caught a Whitstable United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luke English helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Shirley Village got a freekick which was hit by Luke English. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Antony Watson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alex Styles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shirley Village's Alex Styles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Trotter in the 58th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Shirley Village got a freekick which was hit by Luke English. In the 60th minute, Antony Watson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Whitstable United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 65th minute, Antony Watson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alex Styles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antony Watson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Martin's late challenge caught a Whitstable United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tony Martin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Shirley Village getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Tony Martin hit a great ball. Alex Styles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antony Watson in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Whitstable United booed when Shirley Village was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Elding didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denzil Dothery kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Shirley Village's Rex Ainge shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 85th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Theo McGrath but with some difficulty. Antony Watson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Styles having to interfere. When Whitstable United's Antony Watson in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute of the match, Ted Duckworth got a very nice opportunity to score, but Theo McGrath was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Whitstable United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
