After 3 played minutes The Lolee Rockzas got a freekick which was hit by Billie Carey. The Lolee Rockzas's Oliver Hargreaves got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daryl Silvester in the 9th minute of play forced The Lolee Rockzas's goalkeeper Paul Armitstead to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dean Simpson kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Paul Armitstead showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Hanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Daryl Silvester made a precise shot to the right of Paul Armitstead. The Lolee Rockzas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Stratton's Christopher Everard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Stratton from getting a goal against them. If Oliver Hargreaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Stratton's zone, Jimmy Gomersall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Everard came out of the goal and Jimmy Gomersall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oliver Hargreaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Christopher Everard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Oliver Hargreaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmy Gomersall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Hargreaves got free with Christopher Everard in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Stratton's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oliver Hargreaves fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Christopher Everard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Gomersall, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half Stratton were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jimmy Gomersall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jimmy Gomersall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jimmy Gomersall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daryl Silvester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Paul Armitstead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jimmy Gomersall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jimmy Gomersall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Shipperley kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Christopher Everard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Hargreaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Daryl Silvester came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Stratton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daryl Silvester couldn't finish the play. The attack was good, but when Jeff Halloran in the 77th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Jeff Halloran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Stratton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Hanson to maneuver through the defense. Oliver Hargreaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Jeff Halloran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jimmy Gomersall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Stratton had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
