Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Mick Ball came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Red Warriors F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mick Ball couldn't finish the play. In the last second Ollie Leyburn throw himself and got hold of the ball when Edward Warne in the 8thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 10th minute Penzance FC were awarded a corner. Rory Boxall went to the cornerflag to take it. Zane Waltham was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keith Rusby in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ollie Leyburn saved Red Warriors F.C from getting behind. If Keith Rusby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Penzance FC's zone, Simon Buckler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonny Jones came out of the goal and Simon Buckler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keith Rusby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keith Rusby in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ollie Leyburn saved Red Warriors F.C from getting behind. If Simon Buckler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonny Jones showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mick Ball, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Simon Buckler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Warriors F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Buckler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonny Jones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Red Warriors F.C's zone, Keith Rusby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ollie Leyburn came out of the goal and Keith Rusby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keith Rusby was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 40 played minutes Red Warriors F.C got a freekick which was hit by Billie Rowland. Keith Rusby might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ollie Leyburn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Keith Rusby ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the game, Keith Rusby recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ollie Leyburn. Keith Rusby showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Simon Buckler to strike the kick off in the second half. Keith Rusby struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ollie Leyburn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penzance FC. Keith Rusby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ollie Leyburn having to interfere. Ollie Leyburn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Barfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Derek Tully hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Jonny Jones was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Simon Buckler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 66 minute of play. Ollie Leyburn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Barfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 71st minute, Conan Delamore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keith Rusby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keith Rusby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ollie Leyburn having to interfere. Billie Rowland kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 89thth minute of the game Keith Rusby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Warriors F.C's Ollie Leyburn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Greg Barfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Penzance FC fully deserved thier win.
