Tommy Ackroyd was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Greg Barfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penzance FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Greg Barfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Ackroyd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Braziers short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Jonny Jones to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huragan Tapkowice's goalkeeper Tommy Ackroyd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Keith Rusby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Tommy Ackroyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Keith Rusby stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Greg Barfield might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Ackroyd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Greg Barfield ran back to his position shaking his head. Greg Barfield struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Tommy Ackroyd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penzance FC. In the 63rd minute, Dylan Haugue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Keith Rusby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Brazier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huragan Tapkowice's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Keith Rusby scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Ackroyd, making the score, 1-2. 77 minutes into the match, Huragan Tapkowice's goalkeeper Tommy Ackroyd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Greg Barfield. The supporters of Penzance FC booed when Huragan Tapkowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doug Dove didn't get a good kick on the ball.
