Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Larry Moore started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Seagulls FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barney Marriot to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th match minute, Seagulls FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Larry Moore to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vincent Ridgeway during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Seagulls FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tod Alderson to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Thornbury getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gwyn Barltrop hit a great ball. Thornbury's Joseph Brindley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradley Short in the 17th minute of play. When Seagulls FC's Ritchie Forrest in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thornbury's goalie prevented a goal. 22 minutes into the match, Seagulls FC's Larry Moore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joseph Brindley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ritchie Forrest received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Joseph Brindley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thornbury's Damon Flower got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ritchie Forrest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Tod Alderson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Thornbury's Joseph Brindley. Joseph Brindley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damon Flower in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nicky Walters, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 42 played minutes Seagulls FC got a freekick which was hit by Tod Alderson. In the 47th minute, Gav Daly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joseph Brindley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Larry Moore, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damon Flower to make the kick off. Ritchie Forrest kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot Thornbury's keeper Joseph Brindley was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Freddie Jobson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicky Walters having to make a save. Thornbury's Damon Flower got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Freddie Jobson placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damon Flower in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicky Walters saved Seagulls FC from getting behind. In the 70th match minute, Thornbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gav Daly to maneuver through the defense. Seagulls FC's Larry Moore got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thornbury's CJ Brindley pulled a muscle in his back after 73 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Tolley during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joseph Brindley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tod Alderson in the 77th minute. With his leg Joseph Brindley managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Seagulls FC's Ritchie Forrest fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Thornbury's Joseph Brindley got control of the ball when Ritchie Forrest tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Seagulls FC's Ritchie Forrest slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joseph Brindley. That made the score 0-3 after 84 minutes of play. Joseph Brindley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larry Moore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Larry Moore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Brindley having to interfere. Ritchie Forrest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 96thth minute of the game Larry Moore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thornbury's Joseph Brindley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle sounded Seagulls FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Thornbury.
