Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Cahill in the 9th minute of play forced LGFCE's goalkeeper Max English to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerry Brooke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Max English tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Larry Cahill got free in front of the goal in the 13th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Max English was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Larry Cahill in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Max English prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Trey Potterton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Nathan Chilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerry Brooke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, LGFCE's goalkeeper Max English had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerry Brooke. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Larry Cahill in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Max English saved LGFCE from getting behind. Perton FC's Nathan Chilton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trey Potterton in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Perton FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerry Brooke. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Larry Cahill in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Max English saved LGFCE from getting behind. Larry Cahill did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Max English 41 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andy Seaman to strike the kick off in the second half. Nathan Chilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trey Potterton in the 52nd minute of the match. Andy Seaman charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andy Seaman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andy Seaman hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes, Larry Cahill made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. LGFCE's Max English tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to LGFCE getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Stewart Mulligan hit a great ball. After 65 played minutes Perton FC got a freekick which was hit by Larry Cahill. When Larry Cahill got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Perton FC. In the 69th match minute, LGFCE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wayne Furniss to maneuver through the defense. When Perton FC's Larry Cahill in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LGFCE's goalie prevented a goal. 74 minutes into the match, LGFCE's goal looked a bit too open when Larry Cahill came free, but Max English reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Perton FC booed when LGFCE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Corbett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerry Brooke in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Max English prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 84 minutes of play, Perton FC's Larry Cahill made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Max English was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rdth minute of the game Damion Renton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LGFCE's Max English was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Perton FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
