Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Amhaja's Jay Acton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jay Acton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Max English tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ashley Easts short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Max English to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to LGFCE getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Sid Corbett hit a great ball. When Ashley East came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Amhaja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ashley East couldn't finish the play. Jay Acton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max English having to interfere. Amhaja's Theo Carlick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trey Potterton in the 11th minute of play. Trey Potterton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Amhaja's zone, Trey Potterton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Carlick came out of the goal and Trey Potterton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andy Seaman scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theo Carlick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, LGFCE's Max English got control of the ball when Steve Drake tried to sneak it across the goal line. Theo Carlick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trey Potterton in the 28th minute of play. When Chaz Higgins fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amhaja's protests and gave Chaz Higgins a yellow card for diving instead. Derek Nailor hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Theo Carlick came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by LGFCE's Andy Seaman. But to his dismay, Andy Seaman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 37th minute, Amhaja's Jay Acton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 41 minutes into the match, Trey Potterton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theo Carlick. Amhaja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trey Potterton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Wayne Furniss hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. A well done corner resulted in Denzil Barton drilling the ball in to score 2-3 behind LGFCE's goalkeeper.

The wind increased when Andy Seaman made the kick off in the second half. If Trey Potterton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theo Carlick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Seaman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, LGFCE's goal looked a bit too open when Ashley East came free, but Max English reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amhaja's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Trey Potterton scored to the left of an out of position Theo Carlick, making the score, 2-4. When Andy Seaman came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the LGFCE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andy Seaman couldn't finish the play. When Trey Potterton, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 78 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Theo Carlick was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Andy Seaman fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Theo Carlick, passed just outside the right post. Denzil Barton kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Trey Potterton struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Theo Carlick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LGFCE. Jay Acton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max English having to interfere. Keiran Crichton kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Ralph Boyd sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Max English skillfully saved the ball. In the 95th match minute, LGFCE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wayne Furniss to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ashley East in the 96th minute of play forced LGFCE's goalkeeper Max English to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. LGFCE walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
