Thanks to some nice moves Wayne Bensley could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Richard Button however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Doncaster Rovers's Lennie Kalischer got a free kick in the 16th minute. Wes Shipperley's late challenge caught a Doncaster Rovers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Nash took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerry Cryer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Antony Fairfax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerry Cryer in the 42nd minute of play forced Doncaster Rovers's goalkeeper Dan Nash to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerry Cryer to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Wesley Brown ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Nash was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cegła na Cegłe's zone, Wayne Bensley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cegła na Cegłe's zone, Sol Akins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Button came out of the goal and Sol Akins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dan Nash showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerry Cryer, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Antony Fairfax recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Richard Button showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antony Fairfax, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Dan Nash made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Brown in the 95th minute of play. The Doncaster Rovers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Cegła na Cegłe were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
