Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ruben White made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Stone's zone, Trey Rice stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cody Oldham came out of the goal and Trey Rice tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trey Rice kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When %teams%'s Lennie Butterfield was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-0 just inside the left pole, 12 minutes into the game. Cody Oldham was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Cody Oldham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lennie Butterfield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruben White struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Rhys Hopgood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stone. Cody Oldham came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Huyton AFC's Rory Hayes. But to his dismay, Rory Hayes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Lennie Butterfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rhys Hopgood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antony Kenna in the 36th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rory Hayes got free with Cody Oldham in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stone's Cody Oldham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennie Butterfield in the 41st minute of play. Lennie Butterfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cody Oldham having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rory Hayes got free with Cody Oldham in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lennie Butterfield to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Huyton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trey Rice to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Lennie Butterfield ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cody Oldham was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Quentin Dunning's late challenge caught a Huyton AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quentin Dunning helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Stone's Quentin Dunning got a free kick in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Stone's Ruben White sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rhys Hopgood narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cody Oldham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lennie Butterfield's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 74th minute Lennie Butterfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cody Oldham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cody Oldham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennie Butterfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Benji Kitchen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stone's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huyton AFC the free kick. In the 81stth minute of the game Rory Hayes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stone's Cody Oldham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rory Hayes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cody Oldham having to interfere. If Rory Hayes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lennie Butterfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lennie Butterfield took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cody Oldham. Cody Oldham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Stone's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
