Spectators: 7581 (Terracing: 5687, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Duncan Barron got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Coppull's goal looked a bit too open when Will Corrigan came free, but Derek Dobbs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Derek Dobbs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Will Corrigan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Will Corrigan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Rex Metcalf made a precise shot to the right of Derek Dobbs. Coppull's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Moseley City's Will Corrigan got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Moseley City booed when Coppull was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vernon MacDonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dave King blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Derek Dobbs having to make a save. Will Corrigan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Dobbs having to interfere. Rex Metcalf's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Derek Dobbs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Laurence Featherstone struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Howard Faith didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coppull. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rex Metcalf in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Derek Dobbs saved Coppull from getting behind. A hard shot 39 in the game by Laurence Featherstone from a close distance when the talented Howard Faith managed to make a qualified save. Moseley City's players were relieved. Will Corrigan struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Derek Dobbs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moseley City.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rex Metcalf stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rex Metcalf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurence Featherstone struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Howard Faith didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coppull. In the 59th match minute, Moseley City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garth Garforth to maneuver through the defense. After 63 played minutes Coppull got a freekick which was hit by John Newlyn. After 67 minutes of play, Coppull's Duncan Barron made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Howard Faith was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th minute, Rex Metcalf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Will Corrigans short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Derek Dobbs to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matty Conway hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Derek Dobbs was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dave King. Laurence Featherstone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Howard Faith having to make a save. Will Corrigan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Derek Dobbs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Laurence Featherstone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Howard Faith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Will Corrigan could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Derek Dobbs however easily saved by the left post. Derek Dobbs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rex Metcalf in the 96th minute of play. Vernon MacDonald kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Coppull's Derek Dobbs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 100th minute of the match, managed to save Coppull from getting a goal against them. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
