Peter Bishop started the match with the kick off. Garth Beadel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Bishop in the 3rd minute of play. Peter Bishop blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Garth Beadel having to make a save. Peter Bishop might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Garth Beadel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Bishop ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Lynton's Garth Beadel got control of the ball when Stewart Wills tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Peter Bishop managed to get in a good position for a shot. Droylsden Rangers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Bishop was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garth Beadel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Stewart Wills had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29thth minute of the game Peter Bishop who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lynton's Garth Beadel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Droylsden Rangers FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Stewart Wills hit a great ball. Peter Bishop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Stewart Wills came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Droylsden Rangers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stewart Wills couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jay Rawson was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Stewart Wills managed to get in a good position for a shot. Droylsden Rangers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stewart Wills was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garth Beadel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 53 minutes into the match, Russ Milburn notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Lynton's Garth Beadel. Garth Beadel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peter Bishop took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garth Beadel. Garth Beadel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stewart Wills in the 59th minute of play forced Lynton's goalkeeper Garth Beadel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Droylsden Rangers FC's Peter Bishop nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garth Beadel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Jay Rawson kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Peter Bishop struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Garth Beadel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Droylsden Rangers FC. Jay Rawson hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lynton's zone, Peter Bishop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garth Beadel came out of the goal and Peter Bishop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Stewart Wills had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garth Beadel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Bishop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Russ Milburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garth Beadel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stewart Wills fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garth Beadel having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stewart Wills in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Garth Beadel saved Lynton from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Lynton's Caleb Deighton got a free kick in the 81st minute. Lynton's Garth Beadel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Russ Milburn in the 85th minute of play. Garth Beadel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Bishop in the 86th minute of play. Peter Bishop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Garth Beadel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute Peter Bishop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garth Beadel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Droylsden Rangers FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
