The audience was convinced that Stewart Wills's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Medlin was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Oli O FC's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Bishop came free, but Pedro Medlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pete Sheringham kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pete Sheringham was the one to do the kick off. Sebastian Cooper kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Oli O FC's zone, Peter Bishop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Medlin came out of the goal and Peter Bishop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Medlin was a little too slow when Peter Bishop got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-5. With a little luck, Oli O FC's Pedro Medlin got control of the ball when Stewart Wills tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stewart Willss short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Pedro Medlin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Droylsden Rangers FC's Stewart Wills got a free kick in the 69th minute. Stewart Wills struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Pedro Medlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Droylsden Rangers FC. If Stewart Wills had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Oli O FC booed when Droylsden Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Russ Milburn didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-7 became the score in the 89th minute when Stewart Wills elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Peter Bishop recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Medlin. Peter Bishop showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. 96 minutes into the match, Oli O FC's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Bishop came free, but Pedro Medlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Droylsden Rangers FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Oli O FC throughout the match.
