Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Denis Stockton started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Reuben Downs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Annscroft FC's zone, Ian Osborn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wesley Lawson came out of the goal and Ian Osborn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wesley Lawson came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Cerebrus FC's Eddy Towler. But to his dismay, Eddy Towler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Denis Stockton came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Cerebrus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Stockton couldn't finish the play. In the 17th match minute, Cerebrus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Calder to maneuver through the defense. Rupert Mortimer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Nicoll in the 19th minute of the match. Cerebrus FC's Rupert Mortimer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Cerebrus FC from getting a goal against them. If Reggie Whalley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ian Fairbank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Denis Stockton put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Wesley Lawson. Eddy Towler struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Wesley Lawson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerebrus FC. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Eddy Nicoll took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Rupert Mortimer to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Cerebrus FC booed when Annscroft FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Winterbine didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eddy Nicoll fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Annscroft FC's protests and gave Eddy Nicoll a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Annscroft FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Eddy Nicoll hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eddy Nicoll to strike the kick off in the second half. 69 minutes into the match, Denis Stockton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wesley Lawson, 2-3. Eddy Nicoll sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Karl Akins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cerebrus FC's Denis Stockton in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Annscroft FC's goalie prevented a goal. Dom Horseman hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Denis Stockton in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wesley Lawson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With splendid footwork Denis Stockton arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-4 by the left pole in the game's 85th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddy Nicoll in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rupert Mortimer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle sounded Cerebrus FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Annscroft FC.
