Tommy Easton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfie Rice having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Rosslyn Park's Geoff Deeney nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfie Rice made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Southport AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Easton came free, but Alfie Rice reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfie Rice took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Easton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geoff Deeney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfie Rice was a little too slow when Tommy Easton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 2-0. Geoff Deeney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alfie Rice tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Tommy Easton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfie Rice was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When Geoff Deeney came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Rosslyn Park fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geoff Deeney couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Southport AFC's zone, Tommy Easton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfie Rice came out of the goal and Tommy Easton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Easton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geoff Deeney took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfie Rice. Alfie Rice dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Lewis May charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lewis May the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Southport AFC's Lewis May got a free kick in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Southport AFC's goalkeeper Alfie Rice had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix McGovern. After a defensive mix-up in Southport AFC's zone, Rio Gray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfie Rice came out of the goal and Rio Gray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tommy Easton to strike the kick off in the second half. Rosslyn Park's Tommy Easton got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the game, Tommy Easton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Alfie Rice was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Geoff Deeney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Southport AFC's Alfie Rice played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoff Deeney in the 63rd minute of play. Terry Hawke kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Tommy Easton took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfie Rice. Alfie Rice dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Easton in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfie Rice saved Southport AFC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Southport AFC's zone, Sebastien Williams stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfie Rice came out of the goal and Sebastien Williams tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rio Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosslyn Park's Geoff Deeney got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Geoff Deeney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Southport AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ivan Davies hit a great ball. Geoff Deeney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Tommy Easton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfie Rice was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Geoff Deeney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geoff Deeney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosslyn Park walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
