Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Calum Clayton got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Johnny Salmon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luxirare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Southport AFC the free kick. After 3 played minutes Luxirare got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Salmon. Southport AFC's Robert Frampton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Luxirare. In the 7th minute, Anthony Gray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calum Clayton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Edison having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, Southport AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lewis May to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Trey Bryden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ritchie Woolcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th match minute, Southport AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lewis May to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Luxirare's Jeffrey Beaumont broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ritchie Woolcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vincent Edison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Southport AFC's goalkeeper Alfie Rice had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trey Bryden. When Jeffrey Beaumont fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luxirare's protests and gave Jeffrey Beaumont a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes, Southport AFC's Todd Bowler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vincent Edison came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Southport AFC reached it. Ritchie Woolcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Vincent Edison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anthony Gray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anthony Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trey Bryden blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfie Rice having to make a save. Alfie Rice showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthony Gray in the 63rd minute of the match. Alfie Rice showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Gray, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Trey Bryden took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfie Rice. Alfie Rice dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 76th minute Anthony Gray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfie Rice saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calum Clayton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Vincent Edison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 79 minutes, Trey Bryden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luxirare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trey Bryden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trey Bryden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alfie Rice tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Trey Bryden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Luxirare fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 89 minutes into the match, Trey Bryden notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Southport AFC's Alfie Rice. Alfie Rice was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luxirare were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Southport AFC for a fine match.
