Kasey Sheehan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niall Taggart read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Drew Bryden made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Ronnie Phippard sent off a good shot on target. Ronnie Phippard succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Ronnie Phippard came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Drew Bryden could save by the left post. Michael Bull hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Danny Sugden recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Drew Bryden. Ronnie Phippard was slow to take the kick. During this time Sutton on Sea City's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Sutton on Sea City's corner Ronnie Phippard fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Drew Bryden quite easily take care of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Drew Bryden was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ronnie Phippard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Sutton on Sea City were the better team. Sutton on Sea City's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
