Silvester Merrill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iain Layfield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Brompton FC's Iain Layfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Askew in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Askew was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, BandaLysego FC's Perry Caine got a free kick in the 91st minute. If Vinnie Blythe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 minutes, Adam Holloway mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brompton FC and the BandaLysego FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Brompton FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Adam Holloway hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the BandaLysego FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brompton FC.
