The supporters of Fortaleza EC booed when RSC Arden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bill Higgins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nial Rusby stood somewhat misplaced when Austen Haley came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 19 minute. Fortaleza EC's Mickey Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Lawless in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match David Charles sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mickey Coyle skillfully saved the ball. Mickey Coyle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremy Tyler went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Mickey Coyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremy Tyler in the 44th minute of the match. Byron Bowler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nial Rusby having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Austen Haley made the kick off in the second half. Jeremy Tyler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Coyle having to interfere. After 59 minutes, Louie Prutton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Arden and the Fortaleza EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th minute, Victor Lawless hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Byron Bowler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortaleza EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Byron Bowler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nial Rusby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, RSC Arden's goal looked a bit too open when Austen Haley came free, but Nial Rusby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
