Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kristopher Gilchrist kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes, Buster Salmon made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Shadowz FC's Abraham Lawton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Buster Salmon came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Ashes BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Buster Salmon couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Ashes BC's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Adcock came free, but Pete Farrow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Shadowz FC's Frazer Dunning nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pete Farrow made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 13th minute, Theo Fletcher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th match minute, Ashes BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Fletcher to maneuver through the defense. Ashes BC's Pete Farrow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luke Adcock in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristopher Gilchrist in the 21st minute of play forced Ashes BC's goalkeeper Pete Farrow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pete Farrow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frazer Dunning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ashes BC's Ted Tyson came free and shot a quick shot against goal 25 minutes in the game, fortunately Abraham Lawton had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Abraham Lawton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Buster Salmon in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Ashes BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitch Mills to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th match minute, Ashes BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitch Mills to maneuver through the defense. Pete Farrow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke Adcock in the 33rd minute of play. Pete Farrow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Hassell, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ashes BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shadowz FC the free kick. Pete Farrow showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristopher Gilchrist in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Kristopher Gilchrist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Farrow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Kristopher Gilchrist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pete Farrow. Ashes BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kristopher Gilchrist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Buster Salmon to strike the kick off in the second half. Ashes BC's Ted Tyson got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mike Hassell scored 1-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pete Farrow, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristopher Gilchrist in the 65th minute of play forced Ashes BC's goalkeeper Pete Farrow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67th play minutes Luke Adcock shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Pete Farrow and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Kristopher Gilchrist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pete Farrow. That made the score 1-5 in the 72 minute of play. Luke Adcock came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pete Farrow could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Shadowz FC's Frazer Dunning slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pete Farrow. That made the score 1-6 after 77 minutes of play. Ashes BC's Pete Farrow proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Ashes BC from getting a goal against them. Pete Farrow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frazer Dunning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Theo Fletcher hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute of the match, Luke Adcock got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pete Farrow was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Ashes BC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Albert Sawyer hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Shadowz FC's Pete Farrow threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kristopher Gilchrist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 96 minutes into the match, Luke Adcock had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pete Farrow. Ashes BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luke Adcock was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Shadowz FC played a much better game than Ashes BC and deserved their victory. The Ashes BC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
