Niall Caine was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of CHELSEA booed when Costas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Amos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Allan Charles lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Niall Caine. Niall Caine made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Allan Charles sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, CHELSEA's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Horn came free, but Kris Vassell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralph Horn in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kris Vassell saved CHELSEA from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Ralph Horn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kris Vassell. CHELSEA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ralph Horn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Jo Nevin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allan Charles in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Niall Caine, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Niall Caine managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when CHELSEA's Allan Charles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 39th minute, Lloyd Battersby fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Allan Charles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
Lloyd Battersby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niall Caine having to interfere. Costas FC's Niall Caine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Charles in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Ruben Clayton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Costas FC's Shane Amos got a free kick in the 56th minute. 63 minutes into the match, CHELSEA's goalkeeper Kris Vassell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ralph Horn. Ralph Horn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niall Caine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Charles's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Ralph Horn struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Kris Vassell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costas FC. After having played for 74 minutes, Ralph Horn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Horn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, Stuart Cryan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, CHELSEA's Kris Vassell got control of the ball when Ralph Horn tried to sneak it across the goal line. When CHELSEA's Allan Charles in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costas FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 90 played minutes Jo Nevin rounded CHELSEA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. If Allan Charles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Wendon during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
