Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Harvey Lawson kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd match minute, Fakenham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Den Hay to maneuver through the defense. Darren Longthorn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Duncan Moxon had great luck who in the 10thth minute grab hold of the ball when Darren Longthorn from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Den Hay in the 12th minute of play forced Putney Rovers's goalkeeper Frank Armitstead to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eric Kerr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Austen Crouch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harvey Lawson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With splendid footwork Darren Longthorn arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 23rd minute. The supporters of Fakenham City booed when Putney Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Younger didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Putney Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Vance Broadhurst came free, but Frank Armitstead reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Putney Rovers's Frank Armitstead played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lance Cousins in the 32nd minute of play. Frank Armitstead made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Den Hay in the 34th minute of play. Harvey Lawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Fakenham City's goal looked a bit too open when Darren Longthorn came free, but Duncan Moxon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Harvey Lawson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duncan Moxon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.

After 56 minutes of play, Putney Rovers's Harvey Lawson made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duncan Moxon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Harvey Lawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Armitstead was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Austen Crouch showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 62 minute of play. Frank Armitstead made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Cousins in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Putney Rovers's Lewis Younger got a free kick in the 66th minute. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Den Hay took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Frank Armitstead to make any attempt to save it. Eric Kerr took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Armitstead. Frank Armitstead dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. When Austen Crouch fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fakenham City's protests and gave Austen Crouch a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Austen Crouch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duncan Moxon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harvey Lawson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Putney Rovers's Frank Armitstead played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austen Crouch in the 96th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
