Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when John-Paul Rawlings made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Graeme Collingwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John-Paul Rawlings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Kris Vassell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute Austen Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris Vassell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by John-Paul Rawlings in the 21st minute of play forced CHELSEA's goalkeeper Kris Vassell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, CHELSEA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lloyd Battersby to maneuver through the defense. CHELSEA's Kris Vassell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save CHELSEA from getting a goal against them. Austen Walker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Kris Vassell made a huge save. Taverham FC's Austen Walker got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 31 minutes, Rio Snowden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taverham FC and the CHELSEA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Taverham FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Rio Snowden hit a great ball. Taverham FC's Austen Walker got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 36 played minutes CHELSEA got a freekick which was hit by Graeme Collingwood. Kris Vassell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John-Paul Rawlings, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.
The wind increased when Allan Charles made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Taverham FC's Kirk Mansell got control of the ball when Allan Charles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ken Hodgson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lloyd Battersby during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lloyd Battersby kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CHELSEA's zone, Austen Walker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kris Vassell came out of the goal and Austen Walker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Allan Charles in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kirk Mansell, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lloyd Battersby struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Kirk Mansell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CHELSEA. Kirk Mansell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Allan Charles in the 66th minute. If Allan Charles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lloyd Battersby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute, one of Taverham FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taverham FC. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for CHELSEA. Stuart Cryan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kirk Mansell. 2-1. In the 79th match minute, CHELSEA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradley Knott to maneuver through the defense. Kris Vassell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Austen Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After having played for 89 minutes, Allan Charles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CHELSEA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Charles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Scott Ackroyd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Charles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Kirk Mansell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Taverham FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
