Dom Fields might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicky Tyson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dom Fields ran back to his position shaking his head. Dom Fields received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Nicky Tyson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute of the match Ethan Abbott sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicky Tyson skillfully saved the ball. Caleb Layfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Tyson having to interfere. With a little luck, Blofield AFCsd's Tod Pryor got control of the ball when Stan Kaye tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Caleb Layfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blofield AFCsd's supporters rose to their feet, but Caleb Layfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky Tyson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blofield AFCsd's Tosh Billing got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Moore in the 46th minute of play forced Staines's goalkeeper Nicky Tyson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bruce Moore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicky Tyson was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Caleb Layfield hit a great ball. After 62 minutes of play, Staines's Martin Ward made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tod Pryor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Blofield AFCsd's Dom Fields got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blofield AFCsd's Tod Pryor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Ward in the 76th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Blofield AFCsd failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
