Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gav Cornish got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Fordingbridge FC's goalkeeper Calum Markinson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Freddie Chalk. Calum Markinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Steele in the 6th minute of the match. Calum Markinson made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Freddie Chalk sent off a good shot on target. Wes Stockley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gav Cornish in the 16th minute of play. Freddie Chalks short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Calum Markinson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alastair Greenfield hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Freddie Chalk struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Calum Markinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balsall Common. 28 minutes into the match, Adrian Steele notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Fordingbridge FC's Calum Markinson. Calum Markinson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Calum Markinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Steele, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Freddie Chalk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balsall Common's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddie Chalk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Freddie Chalks short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Calum Markinson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Steele made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Steele in the 52nd minute of play forced Fordingbridge FC's goalkeeper Calum Markinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddie Chalk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Calum Markinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Fordingbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Steele came free, but Calum Markinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Adrian Steele who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fordingbridge FC's Calum Markinson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Adrian Steele came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Balsall Common fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Steele couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fordingbridge FC's goalkeeper Calum Markinson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
