Spectators: 7673 (Terracing: 5755, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jonathon Rawlings kicked off to start the match. When Johnathan Short fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balsall Common's protests and gave Johnathan Short a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Not Entirely Crap booed when Balsall Common was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathan Short didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes Not Entirely Crap got a freekick which was hit by Jonathon Rawlings. In the 20th minute, Freddie Chalk made a precise shot to the right of James Daly. Not Entirely Crap's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Freddie Chalk took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised James Daly. James Daly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Not Entirely Crap's James Daly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Chalk in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Steele in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck James Daly prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adrian Steele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Freddie Chalk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balsall Common's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie Chalk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. James Daly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Andy Woodford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simeon Sutton was slow to take the kick. During this time Balsall Common's players had a chance to rest. Jools Walton kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Not Entirely Crap's zone, Freddie Chalk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. James Daly came out of the goal and Freddie Chalk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 61 played minutes Balsall Common got a freekick which was hit by Johnathan Short. Alastair Greenfield's late challenge caught a Not Entirely Crap's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alastair Greenfield helped the player get up and apologised. Alastair Greenfield hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Jonathon Rawlings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Wes Stockley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68thth minute of the game Jonathon Rawlings who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balsall Common's Wes Stockley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Not Entirely Crap booed when Balsall Common was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathan Short didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Not Entirely Crap's Jonathon Rawlings in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balsall Common's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Not Entirely Crap defense, Freddie Chalk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of James Daly. The Not Entirely Crap fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that James Daly should have stopped the shot. Laurence Acton's late challenge caught a Balsall Common's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurence Acton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Not Entirely Crap was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurence Acton to maneuver through the defense. Not Entirely Crap's Jools Walton suffered a sore thigh after 86 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Balsall Common's Johnathan Short got his second yellow card of the match in the 86th minute. The referee ordered Johnathan Short off the ground. Andy Woodford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wes Stockley having to interfere. Not Entirely Crap's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Woodford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Balsall Common's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
