Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Adrian Steele got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes Balsall Common got a freekick which was hit by Alastair Greenfield. 6 minutes into the match, Alec Blair dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wes Stockley, 1-0. Johnathan Short charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johnathan Short the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Balsall Common was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnathan Short to maneuver through the defense. Isaac Giles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Steele's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Isaac Giles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Steele in the 18th minute of play. Wes Stockley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alec Blair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st match minute, Barrow upon Humber was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Carroll to maneuver through the defense. Balsall Common's Simeon Sutton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barrow upon Humber. Freddie Chalk struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Isaac Giles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balsall Common. With a little luck, Balsall Common's Wes Stockley got control of the ball when Roy Gilroy tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute, one of Barrow upon Humber:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barrow upon Humber. Simeon Sutton walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. With a little luck, Balsall Common's Wes Stockley got control of the ball when Roy Gilroy tried to sneak it across the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Barrow upon Humber's Roy Gilroy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wes Stockley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. John Paul Pitman's late challenge caught a Barrow upon Humber's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Paul Pitman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Balsall Common was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Paul Pitman to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alec Blair made the kick off in the second half. Wes Stockley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Gilroy in the 52nd minute of the match. Isaac Giles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Steele, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute Alec Blair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wes Stockley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Barrow upon Humber's Alec Blair nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wes Stockley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Adrian Steele put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Isaac Giles. After 86 played minutes, Balsall Common's John Paul Pitman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Isaac Giles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Balsall Common reached it. Wes Stockley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alec Blair, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Gwyn Bramhall hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Barrow upon Humber had won after a very even match.
