Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Trey Church made the kick off which started today's match. After 5 played minutes, misfits fc's Christopher Shilton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tod Coombe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in misfits fc reached it. Tod Coombe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruce Beadle went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Anthony Cain made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when George Frost sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the match, Verne Tolley notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Burnham on Sea City's Tod Coombe. Tod Coombe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Burnham on Sea City's Trey Church slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anthony Cain. That made the score 1-2 after 29 minutes of play. 33 minutes into the match, Burnham on Sea City's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Nottingham came free, but Tod Coombe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Frost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Cain having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruce Beadle was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, George Frost made a precise shot to the right of Anthony Cain. misfits fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After having played for 55 minutes, Bart Sledge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burnham on Sea City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bart Sledge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Timothy Ellershaw charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timothy Ellershaw the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Burnham on Sea City booed when misfits fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timothy Ellershaw didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anthony Cain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Frost in the 65th minute of play. Anthony Cain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Frost, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Burnham on Sea City's Tod Coombe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruce Beadle in the 74th minute of play. Malcolm Nottingham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Tod Coombe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, George Frost got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruce Beadle in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tod Coombe saved Burnham on Sea City from getting behind. Anthony Cain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Frost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Burnham on Sea City's Simon Nottingham got a free kick in the 86th minute. With his leg Tod Coombe managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when misfits fc's Bruce Beadle fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 89th minute, Bruce Beadle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the misfits fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Burnham on Sea City.
