Seaham AFC's Nial Collingwood got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, FC KUN AJAYI's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Currie came free, but Lewis Pollard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Seaham AFC fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Seaham AFC's Dave Currie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ron Everett in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dom Crouch saved Seaham AFC from getting behind. When Reuben Draper came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FC KUN AJAYI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reuben Draper couldn't finish the play. After the first half Seaham AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ron Everett made a kick off. If Nial Collingwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Brian Greaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lewis Pollard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nial Collingwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, one of Seaham AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lewis Pollard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dave Currie in the 68th minute. Seaham AFC's Nial Collingwood got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, FC KUN AJAYI's goalkeeper Lewis Pollard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dave Currie. Nial Collingwood kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Dave Currie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nial Collingwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
