Spectators: 7356 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 1) In the 2nd minute, Ron Everett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Paignton's zone, Reuben Draper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennie Alderson came out of the goal and Reuben Draper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paignton's Stuart Wilson got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paignton's Lennie Alderson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reuben Draper in the 10th minute of play. Marty Lincoln charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marty Lincoln the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marty Lincoln kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Freddy Chapman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Pollard having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Ron Everett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dennis Linford kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Reuben Draper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennie Alderson having to interfere. The supporters of FC KUN AJAYI booed when Paignton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marty Lincoln didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lewis Pollard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Wilson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Stuart Wilson had several of the FC KUN AJAYI's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Lewis Pollard as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 40th minute, Stuart Wilson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st match minute, FC KUN AJAYI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Lovett to maneuver through the defense. Stuart Wilson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lewis Pollard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Freddy Chapman in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lewis Pollard, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stuart Wilson to strike the kick off in the second half. When Reuben Draper fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC KUN AJAYI's protests and gave Reuben Draper a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes FC KUN AJAYI got a freekick which was hit by Reuben Draper. Lewis Pollard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Chapman in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Reuben Draper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lewis Pollard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Wilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ron Everett in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lennie Alderson saved Paignton from getting behind. Ron Everett struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Lennie Alderson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC KUN AJAYI. Reuben Draper in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lennie Alderson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 69 minutes, Dennis Linford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paignton and the FC KUN AJAYI players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 played minutes Paignton got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Linford. FC KUN AJAYI's Graeme Walters shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lennie Alderson but with some difficulty. Lennie Alderson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ron Everett in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th match minute, FC KUN AJAYI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graeme Walters to maneuver through the defense. Gary Walmsley took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lewis Pollard. FC KUN AJAYI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lewis Pollard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Chapman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reuben Draper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennie Alderson having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC KUN AJAYI players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Paignton.
