Burnham on Sea City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trey Church was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tod Coombe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Everett, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 15 minutes of play, FC KUN AJAYI's Reuben Draper made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tod Coombe was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the game, George Frost cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Lewis Pollard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lewis Pollard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trey Church's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Ron Everett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tod Coombe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Lewis Pollard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Frost, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience was convinced that Trey Church's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lewis Pollard was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Burnham on Sea City's Al Gilroy got a free kick in the 31st minute. Lewis Pollard was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 36 minutes, Bobby Wall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burnham on Sea City and the FC KUN AJAYI players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Burnham on Sea City got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Wall. Lewis Pollard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Frost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lewis Pollard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Frost in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Zack Vassell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trey Church made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, FC KUN AJAYI's goal looked a bit too open when Trey Church came free, but Lewis Pollard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lewis Pollard made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Frost in the 57th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trevor Webb during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Burnham on Sea City's George Frost got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ron Everett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, FC KUN AJAYI's Lewis Pollard got control of the ball when George Frost tried to sneak it across the goal line. George Frost kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 75thth minute. Though ot was a great shot FC KUN AJAYI's keeper Lewis Pollard was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After 78 played minutes Burnham on Sea City got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Wall. In the 79th minute, Graeme Walters sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Burnham on Sea City's Tod Coombe didn't even have to move. When Burnham on Sea City's Trey Church in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC KUN AJAYI's goalie prevented a goal. Trey Church sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. George Frost struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Lewis Pollard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burnham on Sea City. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Burnham on Sea City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
