Carl Bramble who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Ron Blowman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Sam Talbot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joe Boyd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen Falkingham in the 25th minute of the match. Joe Boyd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Falkingham in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Woolly FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Elding. In the 31st minute, Stew Bettinson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Latchingdon booed when Woolly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larry Deveraux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stew Bettinson charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stew Bettinson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Latchingdon getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Stew Bettinson hit a great ball. Woolly FC's Joe Boyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephen Falkingham in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pat Hanley in the 38th minute of play forced Woolly FC's goalkeeper Joe Boyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carl Bramble was the one to do the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The attack was good, but when Rod Bittner in the 58th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Pat Hanley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joe Boyd came out and tried to block the shot, but Pat Hanley slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 60th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Carl Bramble managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woolly FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carl Bramble was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joe Boyd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Creighton in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Woolly FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jacob Elding hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pat Hanley got free with Joe Boyd in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rich Cuss kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Stephen Falkingham reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joe Boyd. The goal made the score 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Latchingdon's zone, Sam Talbot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ron Blowman came out of the goal and Sam Talbot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stephen Falkingham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Joe Boyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Stephen Falkingham fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Latchingdon's protests and gave Stephen Falkingham a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Stephen Falkingham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Billington kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Perry Bonham's late challenge caught a Latchingdon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perry Bonham helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Latchingdon booed when Woolly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perry Bonham didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 98th minute of the match Perry Bonham completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Perry Bonham a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Latchingdon booed when Woolly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perry Bonham didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Woolly FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Latchingdon's performance. The match ended with a win for Latchingdon.
