Vance Way didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Zanzibar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Bourne came free, but Tod Wilmott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nial Cheeseman during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The tension between the Zanzibar FC and the LKS Strumien players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Zanzibar FC's Chesney Symons got a free kick in the 10th minute. Christopher Bourne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Glen Rawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lance Crawshaw's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Tod Wilmott - 1-0 was put on the score board in the 16th minute. If Christopher Bourne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tod Wilmott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Glen Rawson in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Chesney Symons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sean Reid who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Tod Wilmott when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tod Wilmott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lance Crawshaw in the 26th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Glen Rawson sped through Zanzibar FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tod Wilmott. Tod Wilmott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Bourne in the 31st minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Zanzibar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Bourne came free, but Tod Wilmott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glen Rawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Wilmott having to interfere. In the 44th minute Lance Crawshaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Wilmott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glen Rawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walter Watson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tod Wilmott. Zanzibar FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Owen Addison to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Christopher Bourne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tod Wilmott. Zanzibar FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christopher Bourne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After having played for 57 minutes, Glen Rawson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LKS Strumien's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glen Rawson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Glen Rawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Wilmott having to interfere. Tod Wilmott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Bourne in the 63rd minute of the match. Tod Wilmott was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. LKS Strumien's Rob Homes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graeme Beresford in the 84th minute of play. LKS Strumien's Sean Reid got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Glen Rawson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sean Reid during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. LKS Strumien had played much better football throughout.
