Spectators: 7375 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frazer Dryden kicked off to start the match. Rodney Clist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frazer Dryden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frazer Dryden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Lowndes having to interfere. Rodney Clist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Scott Wright tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute Frazer Dryden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Lowndes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Ash Nightingale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, FC Targowa's goal looked a bit too open when Frazer Dryden came free, but Lance Lowndes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Putney got a freekick which was hit by Syd Lansdell. Frazer Dryden might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Lowndes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frazer Dryden ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in FC Targowa's zone, Frazer Dryden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Lowndes came out of the goal and Frazer Dryden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, Frazer Dryden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lance Lowndes. FC Targowa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frazer Dryden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Putney's Kelvin Holmes got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Smith in the 32nd minute of play forced FC Targowa's goalkeeper Lance Lowndes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jay Longstaff fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Targowa's protests and gave Jay Longstaff a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Jay Longstaff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Syd Lansdell charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Syd Lansdell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Putney getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Syd Lansdell hit a great ball. John Paul Mitchell-King received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Scott Wright tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John Paul Mitchell-King was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes in the game, Frazer Dryden fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lance Lowndes having to interfere. Frazer Dryden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Lance Lowndes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Paul Mitchell-King fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scott Wright having to interfere. Lance Lowndes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frazer Dryden in the 60th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frazer Dryden in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lance Lowndes saved FC Targowa from getting behind. After having played for 65 minutes, Robert Smith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Smith was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Syd Lansdell was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. The supporters of FC Targowa booed when Putney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Syd Lansdell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Smith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, FC Targowa's goalkeeper Lance Lowndes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Smith. John Paul Mitchell-King received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Scott Wright tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Smith struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Lance Lowndes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Putney. In the 87th minute, Frazer Dryden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Robert Smith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. James Leatherdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Lowndes having to interfere. If Rodney Clist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Putney's Jay Sinclair got a free kick in the 96th minute. After having played for 97 minutes, Rodney Clist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Targowa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodney Clist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Putney played a much better game than FC Targowa and deserved their victory. The FC Targowa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
