In the 9th minute, Stew Bettinson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Sean Reid managed to get in a good position for a shot. LKS Strumien's supporters rose to their feet, but Sean Reid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ron Blowman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pat Hanley in the 17th minute of play forced LKS Strumien's goalkeeper Rob Homes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rob Homes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pat Hanley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stephen Falkingham in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rob Homes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. LKS Strumien's Rob Homes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stew Bettinson in the 24th minute of play. Dennis Creighton hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Christopher Bourne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rod Bittner charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rod Bittner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 42 minutes into the match, Latchingdon's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Bourne came free, but Ron Blowman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Latchingdon's Ron Blowman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Latchingdon from getting a goal against them. Ron Blowman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Christopher Bourne showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 46 minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stephen Falkingham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christopher Bourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ron Blowman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rob Homes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Latchingdon's Stew Bettinson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Pat Hanley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Rob Homes made a huge save. After a rather tough play, LKS Strumien's Lance Crawshaw got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 72nd minute, Jay Louis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christopher Bourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ron Blowman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of LKS Strumien booed when Latchingdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Creighton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Stephen Falkingham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Homes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute of the match Walter Watson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ron Blowman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ron Blowman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glen Rawson went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. LKS Strumien were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
