Robert Smith took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joe Boyd. Joe Boyd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 15 minutes into the match, Woolly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frazer Dryden came free, but Joe Boyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Woolly FC's goalkeeper Joe Boyd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Smith. 19 minutes into the match, Woolly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frazer Dryden came free, but Joe Boyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Frazer Dryden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Boyd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stan Hilditch was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Woolly FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Silvester Kalischer shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Rich Cuss kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Woolly FC's Carl Bramble got a free kick in the 39th minute. Martyn Kemp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Jay Sinclair fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Putney's protests and gave Jay Sinclair a yellow card for diving instead. Jay Sinclair hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Woolly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martyn Kemp came free, but Joe Boyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Larry Deveraux hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Frazer Dryden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joe Boyd. Woolly FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frazer Dryden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Woolly FC's Joe Boyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martyn Kemp in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Putney getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. James Leatherdale hit a great ball. Joe Boyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Syd Lansdell, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Woolly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frazer Dryden came free, but Joe Boyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joe Boyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martyn Kemp, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Terry Pearce charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Terry Pearce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Terry Pearce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joe Boyd came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Putney's Frazer Dryden. But to his dismay, Frazer Dryden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Joe Boyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frazer Dryden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Woolly FC booed when Putney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Smith didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Woolly FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Putney:s goal. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Putney. Silvester Kalischer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joe Boyd. 7-0. In the 94th minute, Martyn Kemp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joe Boyd was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. There was no doubt that Putney were the better team. Putney's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
