Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bristol United's Ged Shephard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bristol United's Ged Shephard got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Matty Pearch took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Glenn Hassell to make any attempt to save it. Felix Chambers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matty Pearch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Glenn Hassell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perry Hall charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Perry Hall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Perry Hall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 minutes, Lewis Dixon made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Clanfield's Felix Chambers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ged Shephard in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Chambers saved Clanfield from getting behind. In the 32nd minute, Kristopher Fairs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Matty Pearch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matty Pearch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Glenn Hassell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Chambers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Clanfield players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bristol United were winning 1-2.

Bristol United's Glenn Hassell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristopher Fairs in the 51st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Bristol United's Felix Chambers threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ged Shephard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 55th minute of the match, Lewis Dixon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Felix Chambers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Glenn Hassell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Warren Wicks in the 58th minute of play. If Matty Pearch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee gave Clanfield a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Perry Hall, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bristol United's Glenn Hassell. 2-2. Ged Shephard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Chambers having to interfere. Nial Bullard's late challenge caught a Clanfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nial Bullard helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bristol United's Nial Bullard got a free kick in the 71st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fraser Westlake during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bristol United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! 78 minutes into the match, Bristol United's goal looked a bit too open when Matty Pearch came free, but Glenn Hassell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ged Shephard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Chambers having to make a save. Glenn Hassell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matty Pearch in the 90th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Clanfield fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bristol United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
