John Brooks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Brooks kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 18thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Bredon's keeper Lewis Parkinson was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Wombwell FC's Joshua Norfolk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Tompkins in the 23rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denzil Crouch during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roger Fitter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Parkinson having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Bredon's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Fitter came free, but Lewis Parkinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wombwell FC's Roger Fitter got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, John Brooks made a precise shot to the right of Lewis Parkinson. Bredon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Robson made a kick off. Adrian Robson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Joshua Norfolk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
