Jamal Waltham kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Leon Knowles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The corner ended in Martyn Shilton almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Halesowen FC's Gav Blakewell did a great save. The crowd rose to their feet as Mark Tonkin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicky Titmuss. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Gav Blakewell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Yorke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Perryman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nicky Titmuss made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Michael Perryman sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Whitchurch getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Tod Yeo hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Jamal Waltham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Halesowen FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Gav Blakewell made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Liam Yorke sent off a good shot on target. If Johnnie Metcalfe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The supporters of Halesowen FC booed when Whitchurch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jay Houghton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Mark Tonkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicky Titmuss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicky Titmuss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Tonkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Mark Tonkin struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Nicky Titmuss didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Halesowen FC. For all the effort they put into the match, the Whitchurch players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Halesowen FC.
