In the 4thth minute of the game Jonathon Kingston who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Nickos's Ivor Clement was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathon Kingston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dean Proctor charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dean Proctor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, Real Nickos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dean Proctor to maneuver through the defense. Jimmy King blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toby Blewitt having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rufus Cartwright during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Jonathon Kingston took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ivor Clement to make any attempt to save it. In the 33rd minute Jonathon Kingston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivor Clement saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ben Doona came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Stratford-upon-Avon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Doona couldn't finish the play. Ben Doona struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jimmy King made a kick off. Ivor Clement showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathon Kingston in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Stratford-upon-Avon FC's goalkeeper Toby Blewitt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Phil Alsop. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Doona in the 66th minute of play forced Real Nickos's goalkeeper Ivor Clement to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jimmy King came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Real Nickos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy King couldn't finish the play. Ivor Clement made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathon Kingston in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Real Nickos booed when Stratford-upon-Avon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Potts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vic Stockdale missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 76 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Toby Blewitt right hand side. 80 minutes into the match, Real Nickos's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Doona came free, but Ivor Clement reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Real Nickos defense, Ben Doona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivor Clement. The Real Nickos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivor Clement should have stopped the shot. Jonathon Kingston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ivor Clement tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Stratford-upon-Avon FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Nickos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
