Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jimmy King started the match with the kick off. Real Nickos's Ivor Clement played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Firth in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joey Tandy in the 6th minute of play forced Real Nickos's goalkeeper Ivor Clement to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Darfield FC booed when Real Nickos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Hardy didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Darfield FC's Rory Firth in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Nickos's goalie prevented a goal. Rory Firth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joey Tandy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivor Clement made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Firth in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Darfield FC's goalkeeper Kelvin Hurdle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Phil Alsop. Real Nickos's Ivor Clement played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Firth in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Real Nickos booed when Darfield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rory Firth didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes Real Nickos got a freekick which was hit by Conan Warner. It was beautiful to see Darfield FC's Rhys Bartlett in action when he in the 24th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Darfield FC's Kelvin Hurdle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Darfield FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Darfield FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ronan Sansom hit a great ball. Vic Stockdale was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Real Nickos booed when Darfield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chesney Hanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Phil Alsop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Real Nickos's goal looked a bit too open when Joey Tandy came free, but Ivor Clement reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rory Firth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rory Firth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Real Nickos's Jimmy King got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rory Firth struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ivor Clement didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Darfield FC. When Joey Tandy came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Darfield FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joey Tandy couldn't finish the play. Joey Tandy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimmy King kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Darfield FC's Joey Tandy got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes in the game, Joey Tandy fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ivor Clement having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Dean Proctor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Nickos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Darfield FC the free kick. After 75 played minutes Real Nickos got a freekick which was hit by Dean Proctor. Joey Tandy was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Darfield FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kelvin Hurdle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Alsop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Joey Tandy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivor Clement saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Nickos's Ivor Clement played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joey Tandy in the 92nd minute of play. Darfield FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rhys Bartlett in the 94th minute. Rory Firth struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Ivor Clement didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Darfield FC. Real Nickos succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Darfield FC had controlled the match.
