Spectators: 5030 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 30) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jimmy King took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6thth minute of the game Jimmy King who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lynton's Rodd Auty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Phil Alsop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodd Auty having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Real Nickos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dean Proctor to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Phil Alsop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Phil Alsop blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodd Auty having to make a save. In the 19th minute Jimmy King shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodd Auty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Nickos's Jimmy King got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ged Houghton during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jimmy King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lynton's Jonny Noble got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jimmy King struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Rodd Auty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Nickos. Rodd Auty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Alsop, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Zackary Gray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonny Noble received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ivor Clement tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Real Nickos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vince Webster to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Zackary Gray made the kick off in the second half. Rodd Auty made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Phil Alsop sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Real Nickos's zone, Zackary Gray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivor Clement came out of the goal and Zackary Gray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodd Auty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy King in the 68th minute of the match. Rodd Auty was a little too slow when Dean Proctor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-1. Rodd Auty stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimmy King's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Phil Alsop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodd Auty having to interfere. Phil Alsop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phil Alsop did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Rodd Auty 88 minutes into the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Jonny Noble managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lynton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonny Noble was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Real Nickos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
