The audience thought a goal was coming when Ben Doona got free with Rodd Auty in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 47 played minutes Lynton got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Lonsdale. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Conan Louis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathon Kingston blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodd Auty having to make a save. Ben Doona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Zackary Gray fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lynton's protests and gave Zackary Gray a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Zackary Gray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
